Lumino is on a mission to bring better mental health to everyone.
Right now, one in five people are experiencing a mental health problem. However, most will have not have access to effective treatment.
Our goal is to reinvent how mental health treatment is delivered, through developing world-leading digital therapeutic programmes. We combine a strong focus on clinical outcomes with great design and engaging content. Through this, we can make evidence-based interventions available to millions in a truly scalable way.
Lumino is supported by a brilliant range of partner organisations. Our work is supported by NIHR, Innovate UK, Bayer and the Scottish Government. Our first product, currently in development, focuses on supporting women's health.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based non-hormonal treatments for menopausal symptoms. It helps people understand and change the patterns of thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and stress responses that can make symptoms feel more intense or harder to manage. CBT has been shown to reduce the impact of hot flushes and night sweats, improve sleep, and support mood and wellbeing. It is recommended by both the British Menopause Society and the North American Menopause Society.
Despite this, access to menopause-specific CBT is limited, and many patients are unable to receive timely support.
Seren is Lumino’s digital therapeutic designed to close this treatment gap. Seren delivers a structured, clinically informed CBT programme for menopause through a digital platform, supporting people to build practical skills for managing symptoms, improving quality of life, and sustaining long-term wellbeing. Seren is being developed with input from clinical and academic partners, and is supported by Innovate UK, NIHR, Bayer, and the Scottish Government.
